Anniversary

Ben and I have been married for 4 years now. Can you believe it? It goes by so fast. I still don't feel like I know that much about him. Maybe that's because since the day we were married we have gone 100 mph getting things settled with the boys. Now we are going 100 mph trying to finish school, find a job, find a house, having a baby, etc. Hopefully, the next couple of years we can slow down and spend more time just the two of us focusing on getting to know each other better.

Well back to our anniversary. Our actual anniversary was April 24 (Thursday) however this week has been extremely had on me health wise. So most of the week was spent on the couch or bed including Thurs. However, my husband being who he is didn't let that stop him. He ordered me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. He had asked for them to be delivered to the house in the morning so that I could enjoy them all day however they didn't show up till almost 6pm (he was a little mad to say the least, but we got extra flowers in the bouquet so I was ok with it). He knows how much I love flowers and always get an amazing arrangement for me. Here is a picture of the flowers he sent me. (we still don't have a camera yet so here is a picture from the store)I arranged to have a bouquet of fruit to be sent to him at the lab. This was better that the alternative that I was going to do, candy and balloons. Plus he was really surprised. We have been trying to eat a little more healthy.
This was so,so good. The fruit was fresh and had an amazing taste. Some times in the mid-west fruit isn't at it best when we get it but this I have to say was perfect.

I was feeling a little better on Friday so we got sitters for the kids and went to a movie and spent the night together with out the kids. It was amazing.

Ultrasound Results

We went to the doctor yesterday to do our assessment scan on the baby to make sure there was no problems, well lets not forget the most important thing the sex. It turns out that we're having a girl! Yippee!!!

Ben's a little sad, he was kinda hoping to have a boy, but he is ok with it. We pretty much don't care as long as it's healthy.

Daisy was very excited to say the least that she is going to have a baby sister. The boys on the the other had when I told them were quite upset that it wasn't a boy either. They wanted to rule the house, but now the numbers will be even. They were more excited to find out that they wouldn't have to share a room with Daisy any more. And even more excited to know that they didn't have to share a room with "a crying, whinny baby". The biggest concern they have is the since it's a girl that she have nothing to do with Hannah Montana...since Daisy is completely obsessed with her. I just told them that by the time the baby was old enough to know who Hannah was that she wouldn't even be around any more, so they were ok with that. (One can hope, not that we don't like Hannah, it's just that it is all Daisy says and wants to do).

The doctor said that the baby was measuring about 2-2 1/2 weeks bigger than my due date so if I delivered at 36 weeks he would consider me full term. Yippee!!! One more thing to hopefully look forward to. This goes with how far along I think I am, not what the original finding.

So for now we just wait to see what happens and hope for the best!

Derby Days

Tim qualified to go to District Pinewood Derby Races for design. He was so excited! He had a couple of kids from school who also qualified so it made it even more special for him. For his division he didn't place, but the experience was good.

They had all the kids from all the packs from Central Missouri there competing against each other. They had the rain gutter regatta,(boats) and airspace crafts (rockets). It was amazing seeing all the different designs and shapes of the cars, boats and rockets. Lots of imaginative kids in this area.

MU had their racing team there that build a stock car that the kids got to sit in. Both the boys loved being there seeing their friends and watching all the fun stuff going on. Lots of boys in blue!

Family Update

Well I was going to do a new post a couple of days ago and realized that I needed to get my camera out of the van. However, our van was broken into on Thursday and they took our GPS System, camera, and the wierdest thing about 5 LDS CDs. So needless to say I was debating on what to do for this post. So I just decided to do just a post with no photos.

Ben and I decided that we needed a break from our stressful lives right now and spent 3 days in St. Louis last week. We stayed at a hotel in Chesterfield close to the temple. We spend most of Friday driving since we left late and then ran into construction. Hwy 40/61 is under construction so you can no longer take it down town. So we had to find a new way around. Thankfully we had our GPS at the time and that helped a little. We went to Union Station and drove around downtown. Drove by the Arch and took some awsome pictures (that we can't see anymore). I was sick on Sat so we didn't do to much moving around until afternoon. When we finally got out we went to the temple expecting to do a session when we got there they asked if we wanted to do sealing? Of course we said we were there for a session and they said the only thing left was the sealing. Being confused we asked what time they closed (4:00pm) and it was now 3:30 so of course we did sealings. So we didn't get to do what we wanted but aleast we did some work.

We went to Bass Pro Shop in St. Charles thinking it would be big like the one in Kansas City but it was just a little retail store. Ben got a tent so he could take the boys on their first father son campout in May. And then we went home.

When we got home the kids were still there and very crankie. My sister was going to take them to my moms for an easter egg hunt but hadn't made it yet. So she decided to take them still and we just kinda hung out till they got back.

The boys had spring break this week and they spent time with one of my brothers play games all day for a couple of days with him. He totally loved it since he only has a little girl that is not interesed in games and she is still kinda young. Then they came home for my birthday. Then later in the week the boys had a friend over and play games with their friends.

My birthday was Wednesday. They kids made me birthday cards and tried to give me cash as a gift (I couldn't keep it). Ben got me a mini-fridge to keep soda in so that I can wake up a get sugar and fluid in me without having to go down stairs. Since I am still really sick in the mornings. I love it!

Ben has been applying all over the place. Montana, Illionis, Colorado, Utah, etc. Montana is pretty much out the cost of a house there is outragous. 1600 sf house built in the 50's is $250,000. Way out of our price range. So we keep looking and applying and hope we find something soon.

February 27, 2008

If you haven't heard by now then I'm sorry. We are pregnant!!! The expected due date is Aug 25. Which means I'm about 3 months. We don't know which flavor it is yet. We should find that out in April. Daisy swears its a girl!!!

Ben is almost done with school. Thank goodness! Hopefully we will know where he will have a job at soon. We are looking in to Colorado or Idaho. But really we are open to whoever pays the most. hehe

The kids are doing well. We have all had the flu. Which sucks when your pregnant and trying to keep from puking and then you have kids who are doing it. Not a good combo. So far we have survived. Missed a lot of church because of it. It just doesn't want to go away.

We don't have much of Zach on here so here is just a little update on him.

This is one of the cookies from Daisy's party it was almost as big as his head. But man the kids thought they were great!



He loves to build stuff with his legos.



He also loves to read books in his spare time(he has a lot of spare time). He is currently in the Science Club at school which he loves but they only meet 2 a month. He also goes to Cub Scouts. He almost has his Bear.

Daisy's Birthday

Well Daisy was very sick the week of her birthday. On Thursday she was supposed to have a party with the kids in her play group however she had a really high temperature and it sleeted all night and school was cancelled so we ended up having to cancel her party too. It was good though all the kids who go to play were sick too.

So on to her birthday. She still wasn't feeling good on her birthday as you can tell in her pictures her checks are really red and wasn't to happy about the process.

We always make the kids whatever they want for dinner on their birthday to make them feel special or in Daisy's case take her where she wanted to go. She decided that she wanted to have Chinese for her special dinner. (home made is just not the same as getting it from the the restaurant)

The owner of the restaurant kept coming over to make sure we were ok since I told them it was her birthday. When we were about done she come over and told Daisy that if she ate all her noodles that she had a special present for her. LOLIPOPS!!! 3 of them (since she was three). So Daisy immediately started taking noodles off her plate and putting them on Daddys plate so she could have the suckers. It was quite funny.



On Sat we had a party at Grandma Linda's house.

It always amazes me how little kids will find anything to have fun with. Who would have thought a laundry basket would be so much fun, but she loves putting this on and pretending that she is a monster or that it is her hat.

Tim's Birthday

So we were a little late having Tim's birthday party this year. We didn't have it till the first Sat of February. Even with that said he had a great party. He decided that he wanted to have "Transformer" themed party. So played the movie and let the kids have a gamecube (video game) tournament. (this was cause mom wasn't feeling up to par and we needed something easy to do) I was very sick the morning of the party and got a late start. We always get the same amount of ballons as the kids are old, but I like for them to be new when I get them so I get them the day of the party. Needless to say some of the kids had shown up before I got back from the store with the snacks and the ballons. But all worked out. Tim had fun and I'm pretty sure the kids who came did too.




It was unseasonably warm the day of the party so we sent the boys outside a few at a time so they didn't kill each other on the trampoline. As you could tell this didn't matter to much. As the saying goes, boys will be boys!

Timothy got baptized on Sunday January 27, 2008. It was such a spritiual baptizem. Tim had lot of friends show up and family from both sides. He was so excited! Uncle Jesse gave the opening talk and his old primary teacher Sister Houston gave the closing talk. They were both extremely wonderful!
