Zach's B-Day

Zach has just turned 10! Oh my goodness!!! Can you believe it? We didn't do a whole lot for his b-day this year since we were moving the next day.

We always let the kids have a special dinner so we ask them what they want and then I fix it for them. Well of course my big giant of boy wanted ribs. So Zach convinced g-ma into making them for him since I am not doing so hot right now and she was all ready to make them for him but things got crazy as usual and g-ma/g-pa took the family out for ribs at Buckinghams. It was really great!!! Everyone got ribs except for me and g-pa. Of course g-pa doesn't have teeth so he just got some ham and I got chicken.

If you can't tell they REALLY liked their ribs!

After dinner he had cake and ice cream at home but not a lot was eaten cause we were still very full from dinner.

He got a Pok.emon game for his gameboy from g-ma/g-pa, guitar hero from mom/dad, and poke.mon cards from Tim. Can you tell he loved all the gifts?

We will be having a sleepover for him this weekend. He is very excited about it. We got some treats for it and he can't wait to get them out and eat them. Plus he is really excited about playing games and staying up late with his friends.

Professional Graduation Pictures

A few of you have been asking for the pictures that they took of him at school that have all the school stuff on them. So here they are. Isn't he cute!!! I'm so proud of him!!!

Uncle Fun

It always amazes me how loud it gets when all of us kids get together (and theres only 4 of us not including spouses and kids). My brothers have always been rough and tuff with the boys since day one but things have just escalated. Jesse and Kelly are older and Zach and Tim are bigger. That makes it all the more fun for the boys. Jesse and Kelly used to just chase the boys but now they wrestle and jump and chase. We were at Kelly's house for his daughters b-day last week and after we got done having cake and icecream that's when it all started. Jesse loves to take Tim and just tickle the crap out of him. Tim usually takes quite a bit and loves to fight back. Zach on the other hand can't take being thrown in the air and doesn't like to fight back but doesn't want to miss out so he usually get in on it for a little bit and then just runs away. The funny part is that Rachel loves it when they start getting loud and has to get in on it too.

Poison Ivy cont

So I told you about our episode of poison ivy but things got a little worse for me. It was just getting worse and my arm were starting to swell and look like my skin was dying. So I decided I needed to go to the doctor. Sure enough it had gotten infected and was way nasty. I haven't seen anything like this ever. Both my arms were so bad. It started on my face and neck so they gave me stuff for that too.
It's finally getting better. Those spots in the pictures look kinda normal now still a little discolored but not even the same. But it has spread to the lower part and upper part of my arms. I just want it to be gone before I have the baby.

Father's Day

This year for Father's Day we made the tradition cheesecake for breakfast with Tabasco eggs and bowl of fruit. However the little twist was that instead of making a large cheesecake I made individual ones.

The kids made him mosaic pictures. Zach made him one that said Reese's Love, Tim made him one of a corvette, and Daisy made him a flower. The kids had a really fun time making them. We used four different kinds of lentils and black beans.

So I have to give my hubby great kudos because he is the best daddy. He always put the family first even if he needs something he always asks if we need something first. He plays with the kids and gives them love when their hurt. I love when he plays with Daisy at night when she can't sleep. To hear her laughing so loud cause daddy is tickling her is the best thing I can think of to hear. He always makes sure that I am ok and if I tell him something is wrong he wants to fix it right away. I love him sooooooo much. He really loves us so much. I am so glad that he is the father of my kiddos.

Poison Ivy

We have spent the week dealing with poison ivy. Daisy started with a little on her arm and then spread to her leg and then to her face. Needless to say I took her to the doctor cause she was swelling up so much and the caladryl wasn't working.

The doctor put her on prednison and told us to us calamine and give benedryl like crazy. Well after taking her I started to itch, and sure enough I have it on my arms and now its spreading to my face and chest.

Zach has it too. He has it on his legs and other parts that we won't talk about.

I didn't know that poison ivy was so spreadable. I thought that you have to pretty much touch the plant to get it but I haven't been out side at all so one of the kids rubbed up on my and gave it to me. So be careful. It kinda sucks cause I'm very huge and now I'm more swollen and itchy because of the poison ivy. AHHH.

Oh well, that's life. In a couple of months this will all be stuff in the past and I won't even remember being miserable.

p.s. i know my spelling isn't the greatest, but neither is the spell check.

New Job

I guess this post should have come before the moving one but it really doesn't matter that much, right???

Ben got a job offer from the lab he did his school at. Little did we know how much they wanted him until he was working with a co-worker who said that they only offer night jobs to those who already work there. That made both of us really excited. We were wondering if maybe people thought he had the plague cause everyone says they want him and then no offers. So this is great!!! I know how great he is and what an asset he would be to an company but it is just getting other people to see that.

I am very excited for him. They seem to be a really great company to work with and since he did his rotation there for school he kinda (sorta but not really)has a leg up since he knows some of the people there. It's a blessing. So send Ben a congrats he deserves it!!!!

Moving

We're moving! Not where we thought but that's ok. We really hoped that things would work out in Colorado but nevertheless we are still here. We will be moving further south into a better house. Still a condo/townhouse but in a better neighborhood. We actually will be close to my brother and a close friends of ours so that excites me. I can walk to my brothers house from ours which is nice cause his wife stays at home and watches our other brothers daughter during the day. So once I can move more I'm sure that we will be there a lot.

I'm excited because we will have enough space to entertain now. Ben and I have wanted to have people over and we just haven't had the space to have more than one person over at a time. So we are very happy about that.

Things are getting close with this pregnancy. Only 10 weeks left. I can't wait. I am so miserable right now. This is always the worst part for me. Those last couple of weeks just don't go by fast enough. Plus this baby thinks that I am a punching bag and will be very strong when she comes out. The other exciting thing is that we are that much closer to having Ben's mom come out and I can't wait. She is amazing! Daisy gets excited every time I tell her that G-ma Adams is coming to play with her.

That's all for now when we move in I'll post pic of our new house.

Ben graduated!!!! Shout for joy!!! It seems like it has been forever but really it has only been a year. One very long year.

Graduation started at 7pm which sucked because Ben had to be there at 6:15 so that was right when it was time for dinner but I brought snacks and drinks for Daisy so it wasn't to bad. Because I looked very pregnant they let me sit down so we were close to the doors so we got good seats when the hall opened. We were really close to the stage. It was dark in there but the stage was bright so it made it kinda hard to get good pictures.

Afterwards we went to G.olden C.orrell for celebration. It was good and Cambron didn't stuff himself to the point of puking this time.

Oh, I forgot to tell you if you couldn't tell by the pictures but Dennis came in and Tom and 4 of his kids came down. It was a good weekend.

Colorado Trip

View of top of Pikes Peak

Ben and I went to Colorado for 3 days. He had and interview with a hospital in Colorado Springs. While we were there we meet with a realtor. She was amazing. She spent all afternoon showing us around the city telling us where the good schools and neighborhoods were. We found some great housing and got to know the city a little better. Now we know what people are talking about when they say certain areas.

We couldn't go all that way and not go up Pikes Peak so the night before we left we drove up Pikes Peak to an area called Seven Falls. It was like 8:30 but it was still beautiful. We even got asked to leave because there was a bear sighted in the park and they didn't want us to get hurt. It was amazing up there.
